Resolved Question: Short, cheap holiday ideas?

Me and my boyfriend really fancy a break from everything right now and just need to get away together somewhere for a few days. Would love any suggestions of places/hotels/things to do etc. We're pretty open minded right now.. Cities (in Europe i.e. Venice, Paris), quiet scenic areas (the French Alps maybe), beach towns.. anything like that really. Also, we're not looking to spend too much, we're probably looking in the 3* hotel price range which really doesn't bother us. If anyone has any good ideas for us on where to go and what to do we would really appreciate it (: thank you!!
